The General Store has been a landmark of the old mining town of Randsburg since the 1930s when it changed over from Jone's Drug Co. It is known for its long counter, antique backbars and active malt machines. It is both is a sit-down restaurant and a general store and includes memorabilia, maps and locally-published histories on Randsburg. The living ghost town of Randsburg is just off of Highway 395 that connects LA with Bishop and Mammoth Mountain on the east side of the Sierras. It is located about 20 miles south of Ridgecrest. Come visit a snapshot of the old California mining days! |
